I. Material-Related Questions

1. What types of wood do you mainly offer for customization? Can I specify other wood types?

We default to providing high-quality woods such as beech, boxwood, oak, walnut, ash, poplar, and pine. Among these, beech (cost-effective and durable) and boxwood (fine texture, suitable for high-end customization) are the most popular choices.
If you have special requirements (e.g., bamboo, maple, cherry wood), please communicate with us in advance. We will evaluate feasibility based on the wood’s characteristics (such as compatibility with engraving processes, supply lead time, etc.) to ensure the customization result meets your expectations.

2. Is there a significant price difference between different wood types? How to choose the right wood for myself?

Prices vary among different woods due to factors like scarcity, processing difficulty, and performance characteristics (e.g., walnut > boxwood > beech > pine). The specific price will be quoted comprehensively based on the type, size, and craftsmanship of the customized product.
Selection suggestions:
  • Daily practical products (e.g., wooden pallets, storage boxes): Prioritize beech and pine for their high cost-effectiveness and durability;
  • High-end gifts/decorative items (e.g., jewelry boxes, commemorative ornaments): Recommend boxwood and walnut for their beautiful grain and premium texture;
  • Outdoor-use products (e.g., small gardening accessories): Choose preservative-treated pine or bamboo for their moisture resistance and insect resistance.

3. Will there be color differences in the wood? How to ensure the received product matches the sample?

Due to differences in the growth environment (annual rings, grain) of natural wood, slight color variation is normal—it is also the unique charm of solid wood customization.
If you have high requirements for color consistency, we will:

① Provide 3-5 wood samples from the same batch for your selection and confirmation;
② Keep photos/videos of key processes during customization, allowing you to check the wood’s grain and color in real time;
③ Take high-definition photos of the finished product before shipment and send them to you for confirmation. Only after your approval will we ship the product, minimizing disputes caused by color differences.

II. Customization Process & Design

1. Do I need to provide a design drawing for wooden product customization? Can I customize with just an idea (without a design drawing)?

If you already have a clear design drawing (e.g., CAD, AI format, or a clear hand-drawn sketch), you can send it to us directly. Our engineers will quickly evaluate the feasibility of the process;
If you only have a preliminary idea (e.g., "I want a wooden pen holder engraved with a logo, measuring 10×8cm"), no need to worry—our 2 professional engineers provide free design services: They will sort out details based on your needs (such as shape, engraved content, surface finish), create 3D renderings, and revise them through repeated communication until you are satisfied before starting production.

2. What is the process for customizing a wooden product? How long does the entire cycle take?

Complete customization process:
① Requirement communication (confirm product type, size, wood, craftsmanship) → ② Design & drawing (confirmation of 3D renderings) → ③ Quotation & contract signing (confirm price, lead time, payment method) → ④ Sample production (optional; recommended for small-batch customization) → ⑤ Mass production (engraving, sanding, surface treatment) → ⑥ Quality inspection → ⑦ Shipment & acceptance.
Lead time: Depends on the complexity and quantity of customization. For regular single items (e.g., custom handles, small ornaments): 7-10 days; for medium batches (50-100 pieces): 15-20 days; for large/complex customizations (e.g., wooden decorations over 1m in size, irregular-shaped engravings): 20-30 days. The specific lead time will be clarified during contract signing.

3. Can logos, text, or patterns be engraved on the product? What engraving methods do you support?

Absolutely! We can choose the appropriate engraving method based on your needs:
  • Laser engraving: Suitable for fine patterns, text, and logos, with high precision (minimum 2mm font size) and a smooth surface. Ideal for woods with fine grain such as beech and boxwood;
  • CNC engraving: Suitable for 3D patterns and deep engraving (e.g., embossing, intaglio). It can create more layered designs and is ideal for harder woods such as oak and walnut;
  • Hand engraving: For complex artistic patterns (e.g., details of animal statues), completed by woodworkers with over 10 years of experience. It delivers a unique texture, but requires additional communication on lead time and costs.

III. Order & After-Sales Service

1. What is the minimum order quantity (MOQ) for customized wooden products? Do you accept small-quantity customization (e.g., 1-2 pieces) for personal use?

We have no strict MOQ restrictions and support small-batch or even single-piece customization:

  • Personal needs (e.g., 1 custom commemorative gift, 1 custom cutting board for home use): We accept such orders normally, and the price is calculated individually based on craftsmanship;
  • Corporate bulk customization (e.g., over 50 pieces of brand peripherals, tool accessories): You can enjoy factory bulk discounts, and we also provide more flexible payment methods (e.g., 40% advance payment, balance paid before shipment).

2. Can customized products be returned or exchanged? What if the received product has quality issues?

Due to the uniqueness of customized products (e.g., exclusive logos engraved, specific sizes), returns or exchanges are not supported for non-quality issues;
If the received product has quality issues (e.g., cracking, engraving errors, surface defects), please provide photos/videos within 3 days of receipt. We will:
① Remake the product for free and ship it urgently;
② Negotiate a refund/compensation according to your needs, ensuring your rights are not compromised.
3. Is slight cracking of the wood normal during product use? How to maintain customized wooden products?
Due to changes in environmental temperature and humidity, natural wood may experience slight shrinkage or small cracks (especially in dry seasons)—this is normal and does not affect use;
Maintenance suggestions:
  • Avoid prolonged exposure to sunlight or soaking in water to prevent wood deformation and cracking;
  • For surface stains, wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth. Do not use corrosive cleaning agents;
  • Wipe the surface with food-grade wood wax oil regularly (e.g., every 3-6 months), especially for beech and pine products. This helps maintain the wood’s luster and extend its service life.

IV. Other Questions

1. Can I visit your factory? I want to understand the production process before deciding on customization.

You are more than welcome! Our factory is located in Jiangsu. If you are available for an on-site visit, please make an appointment with our customer service 1-2 days in advance. We will arrange a dedicated staff member to receive you, show you around the production workshop (engraving area, sanding area, quality inspection area), warehouse (wood storage environment), and demonstrate our equipment capabilities and past customization cases. This allows you to understand our craftsmanship and strength more intuitively.
